Offer Creation: Creatives Management & Ad Serving

Manage creatives for your offers, control how they are served using weights, and deliver creatives directly via Creative Serve Links with full impression tracking.

Overview

Creatives are the visual assets used to promote an offer. In Swaarm, creatives can be uploaded, managed, prioritised, and served directly from the platform.

This article explains how to:

  • Add and manage single creatives and creative packages for an offer

  • Control creative rotation using weights

  • Serve creatives directly via a Creative Serve Link


Accessing Creatives Management

To manage creatives for an offer:

  1. Go to the Offer

  2. Click Edit in the top-right corner

  3. Open the Creatives tab


This is where all creative packages and creatives for the offer are managed.


Creative Packages

Creative packages help you organise related creatives under one group.

For each creative package, you can:

  • Set a name to identify the package

  • (Optional) Add a description describing the media type

  • Control whether creatives are visible in the Feed API and Partner Platform

  • An offer can contain multiple creative packages.


Adding Creatives

Within a creative package, you can add creatives in two ways:

1) Upload Creatives

Use this to upload one or multiple media files at once

  • Uploaded image creatives will display a preview. Thumbnail URL will be generated once saved

  • Uploaded video creatives do not display a preview but can be viewed via the Creative URL

2) Add Creative

Use this option when creatives are hosted externally (for example, Dropbox or another CDN)

  • Provide a direct URL to the creative asset

Creative Weight

Each creative can be assigned a weight, which defines its relative importance compared to other creatives on the same offer.

  • Higher weight → creative is served more often

  • Lower weight → creative is served less often

Examples:
- If Creative A has weight 90 and Creative B has weight 10, Creative A will be served significantly more often than Creative B.

- If Creative A and B have the same weight - 50, they are served randomly with equal probability.

*There is no fixed limit on weight values. Internally, weights are normalised and treated as ratios, similar to other distribution logic in Swaarm.

Creative Serve Link

For each offer, Swaarm generates a Creative Serve Link that allows you to serve creatives directly from Swaarm without using an external ad server. It could be found next to each Publisher in Publishers section on the Offer page:


When the Creative Serve Link is opened:

  • One creative is selected from all public creatives on the offer

  • Selection is based on creative weight and offer rules

  • The creative image is returned in the browser

  • An impression is created and could be found in the Reports

The Creative Serve Link supports the same parameters as impression links, the full list could be found here.

Image Resizing

You can resize served creatives by adding parameters to the Creative Serve Link:

  • width

  • height

Targeting & Impression Rules

Creative serving respects all existing offer rules, including:

  • Targeting (country, device, platform)

  • Publisher blocking

  • Frequency and recency impression optimization rules

  • Advanced targeting

Creative-level targeting is not supported. All targeting is inherited from the offer.

If a click does not meet the conditions mentioned above, the creative will not be served.

Partner Platform Visibility

In the Partner Platform, publishers can access a Creatives tab for each offer.
This allows them to preview and download all public creatives associated with the offer. You may control it by selecting a corresponding checkbox in the Creative setting:
