A Challenge Definition is a structured way to document a specific business challenge. The Challenge Modeler captures all of the relevant data for a Challenge Definition, and it can be reviewed either in the tool or printed as a PDF to serve a guide for creating a solution. The Challenge Modeler helps clearly define the challenge so that you are properly empowered to solve the challenge.

Hints:
It is uncommon for one person to have all of the knowledge to complete a Challenge Definition themselves. In most cases, we would add several people to a Challenge Definition using the Team Card and let them collaborate to produce the finished definition. Many eyes are better than one in getting a clear and objective view of a challenge.
It is often very helpful to have an independent third party review your Challenge Definition. You can either invite someone from a different department within your organization or potentially invite a trusted advisor such as a consultant (someone external to your organization). You also have the option of asking SWARM to review your definition in the Share Card that will send a report directly to us. See this video for additional help on sharing your Challenge Definition with the SWARM team.
