Access: Service Providers
Overview: This article offers a step-by-step guide of reporting a new or replacement assembly through the SwiftComply Backflow portal. This article assumes the user already understands the steps of submitting a new test report. Please Note: Each city/organization may have a preferred way to report replacements, please reach out to yours directly to confirm how they'd like these reported.

Reporting a New Assembly
If you need to add in a new assembly that you know is not already in the system, follow these steps below:
- Go to the Test Reports tab and click the Green New Test Report button. 
- Put the address of the original assembly in the the Location Address field and click the Green Magnifying Glass, or press Enter. 
- Select the correct location record and scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page. 
- Click the Grey New/Replacement Assembly button. 
- Continue selecting your Service Provider, Tester, and Test Kit. 
- Confirm that the location details are correct and input the NEW assembly details into the appropriate fields. All fields that are notated with an asterisk (*) are required. 
Reporting a Replacement Assembly
When testing an assembly, you may come to the conclustion that the current assembly cannot be repaired and a new assembly will need to be installed in its place. Follow the steps below for SwifComply's suggested steps for reporting this new assembly.
- Submit a test report showing failing results of the initial assembly. The city/organization will want a record to show why this assembly needs to be replaced. 
- In the test report record just submitted, add a note in the Notes field stating that you'll be replacing the assembly and include the Serial Number of the new assembly you'll be replacing it with. 
- Click the Green Save Notes button to save your work. This saved note will be seen by your city/organization when they log on to approve your test report and it will help them complete the replacement process on their end. 
- Now that you've completed the final test of the current assembly, complete the installation on the new assembly and run your initial test. 
- Go to the Test Reports tab and click the Green New Test Report button. 
- Put the address of the original assembly in the the Location Address field and click the Green Magnifying Glass, or press Enter. 
- Select the correct location record and scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page. 
- Click the Grey New/Replacement Assembly button. 
- Continue selecting your Service Provider, Tester, and Test Kit. 
- Confirm that the location details are correct and input the NEW assembly details into the appropriate fields. All fields that are notated with an asterisk (*) are required. 
- Continue through the test report as usual adding in your initial test results and using the Green Next button to progress through the report. 
- When you're finished, click the Green Save & Submit button. 
- In the Test Report Record, add a note to the city/organization in the Notes field letting them know that this assembly is replacing another one and include the old serial number of the assembly it replaced. - Hot Tip: To ensure that the city/organization has seen your notes, reach out to them directly to let them know that you've replaced the assembly.
