What is the shop and how do I use it?
Updated over a month ago

With the shop, you give your readers one-click access to all activities that can be booked through Swiss Activities. On this page, they can navigate through our activities using various filters as well as a map. In real life, it looks like this:

How do I integrate the shop on my blog / my website?

You have three options to integrate the shop on your blog.

1. Embed a button

Implement a button, for example in your header menu. This makes all activities on Swiss Activities available to your readers in a pop-up.

2. Create a shop page

Create a new page, on which you don't insert anything other than the HTML code. This page will only contain your shop, but it comes with its own URL. This gives you the possibility to link to this page from other pages and blog posts.

3. Embed in an existing page

You can also embed the code in an existing blog post or on any page on your blog. This way, your readers can book directly from your blog and then continue reading the post unhindered.

This is especially interesting if you write an article about a specific topic or a category. For example, let's say you write about canyoning or family activities. You have the option of making a preselection for your readers before you create the code and, for example, only displaying canyoning or family activities in the shop. You will find more on this topic in a minute.

Where can I find the HTML code for the shop?

You can find the code via this link. Click on "Copy code" and configure the content according to your wishes. You can decide if you want to hide certain elements like the search, the map or even the filter.

  • Important: Don't forget to enter your affiliate ID so that the bookings can be assigned to you!

  • If you'd like to create a button, go to "Type" and select "Button". If you'd like to create a shop to embed on your site, select "Iframe".

How do I create a pre-selection of categories or attributes in my shop?

You have the possibility to configure the shop according to your needs and select numerous attributes, categories or locations. For example, you can create a specific shop for:

  • Family activities (via the attribute "Families")

  • Activities with the attribute "Adrenalin" or "Bad weather".

  • Canyoning activities (via the category "Canyoning")

  • Activities in the city of Lucerne (via the locality "City of Lucerne")

  • Activities that give a discount for Half Fare Card holders (via the discount filter "Swiss Half Fare Card")

You can also combine attributes, locations and categories. For example, you can display only Escape Rooms in Zurich or bad weather activities in Interlaken. There are no limits to your imagination when configuring your shop.

First of all, click on the filter icon here and prepare the selection. All the ticks you set will then be taken over in the code. Once the shop looks the way you want it to, click on "Copy code". Then continue the process as described above.
