Energy Efficiency and Your AC
Air conditioning systems are known for their high energy consumption, but at The Switch, we've taken significant strides to mitigate this. Our state-of-the-art AC system is designed with energy efficiency in mind, operating only when it's needed, thanks to an intelligent motion sensor system.
How It Works
Upon entering your room, the motion sensor activates, searching for movement to determine if the space is occupied. Once movement is detected, the AC system springs to life, adjusting the temperature to your pre-set preferences. This ensures that you're welcomed by a comfortable environment every time you enter your room.
Conversely, when you leave, the motion sensor continues to monitor the room. If no movement is detected for a continuous 15 minutes, the system concludes that the room is unoccupied, and the AC automatically shuts off. This smart feature significantly reduces unnecessary energy consumption, aligning with our sustainability goals.
Temperature Control
To further optimize energy usage, the temperature range of the AC is restricted to between 20 and 24 degrees Celsius. This range is not only energy-efficient but also suited to Melbourne's climate, ensuring comfort throughout the year. Whether it's the peak of summer or the chill of winter, the system is designed to maintain this optimal temperature range.
If your room's temperature falls below the set range, say to 18 degrees, and you adjust the AC to the lowest setting of 20 degrees, the system will generate warm air to reach the desired temperature. This adaptability ensures that your room remains a haven of comfort regardless of external weather conditions.
Personalised Comfort
The sophisticated engineering behind our AC system allows for individualized control over the temperature settings in each room. Whether you prefer a warmer ambiance at 24 degrees or desire a cooler setting, the system accommodates your personal comfort needs. It's important to note, however, that due to the complexity and precision of the system, it may take a few minutes to adjust to new settings.
