Process for checking out of The Switch Adelaide Central

Setting up your RBO account.

You should've received an email about setting up your Residential Bonds Online account. This email comes from a @sa.gov.au email address so may go into your spam/ junk folder. If the link has expired, please let us know and we can resend.

When setting up your account, you must verify your identity by adding a screenshot of your passport (if no Australian ID). You can add this by selecting "Other" and then "Travel Visa" in the Upload section.

Once your account is active, you should be able to see your bond.

If you have any issues setting up your account, please contact us.

If you are leaving Australia and your account is not settled before your departure, we will need to complete a paper bond refund form. The RBO website requires an Australian phone number to receive a code to complete a refund. Please let us know and we can prepare the form prior to your departure.

Book your check-out inspection

You need to move out and vacate your room before 12:00pm (midday) on the last date of your lease and return the premises to the standard stated in your check-in condition report. If you have a swipe key with you, please return to reception before your departure. If you are using a digital key, your key will be deactivated by 12:00pm.

Below is a list of cleaning tasks that will need to be completed and checked during your checkout inspection.

Cleaning your apartment

Areas

What to clean:

Kitchen

  • Clean Stove including oven and shelves, griller and recess, hot plates and drip trays, chrome surrounds, exterior enamel and control panels. (Do not use scourers.)

  • Clean inside microwave and microwave door

  • Clean fridge and freezer, including wiping shelves

  • Clean exhaust fans/ range hoods

  • Wipe down bench tops, basins, sinks

  • Wipe down kitchen cabinets

  • Wipe walls and skirting boards

  • Sweep, mop, vacuum floors

  • Remove rubbish & wipe bin clean

  • Remove all belongings and food

Bathroom

  • Shower recess tiles, grouting, shower screen to be cleaned including the removal of any residual hair from plug holes

  • Toilet including seat set and pedestal to be cleaned

  • Mirror to be cleaned

  • Wipe sink and fixtures

  • Wipe walls

  • Sweep, mop, vacuum floors

  • Remove all belongings

Bedroom

  • Wipe drawers, side-table, wardrobe (including top), shelves, desk and chair

  • Wipe walls & skirting boards

  • Sweep, mop, vacuum floors

  • Make sure your mattress protector is clean and without stains/damages

  • Remove all belongings

Shared common areas (shared apartments only)

  • Have you left anything in the laundry?

  • Remove any items in cupboards and within shared spaces

  • Clean the apartment's shared areas floors.

  • Do not leave any items in the shared areas unless you have directly told someone you are gifting them the items and they accept.

After your check out

During this process, we will issue you a final condition report and we will settle the final bill including if there are any charges applicable to your departure (damage, cleaning etc).

Once your account is fully paid, your bond refund will be issued via the RBO portal. If you are leaving Australia please let us know as you will need to sign a paper bond refund form.
