Adelaide Check Out Process

Process for checking out of The Switch Adelaide Central

We've got a few important things to do before you leave.

🕛Please note your contract will end at 11am on the day specified in your Residential Tenancy Agreement.

/ Planning to leave early?
Let us know as soon as possible so we can help coordinate your check-out and inspection in advance.

/ Outgoing Inspection 📝

Book your outgoing inspection here!

Our team will go through your apartment with you to check everything is in the same condition it was when you moved in - as outlined on your condition report. Your outgoing inspection needs to be completed by 12pm on your contract end date.

If you can't do your inspection with us, that's ok! We will still take photos and send you a copy of the report.

/ Cleaning 🧼

It is a requirement for you to leave your apartment clean and ready for the next person to move in. You should aim to leave it in the same state you received it in when you checked in. Please make sure you have removed all rubbish, food from the fridge/freezer/pantry, and personal items.

Do not leave behind any items in shared spaces as others will not know you have left it, and it will stay there until it rots and becomes smelly #gross

Please note: a cleaning fee may be charged depending on the condition of your room. We will also inspect the mattress protector, you are welcome to wash it before departure

/ Donate!♻️

Not taking everything with you? Donate instead of throwing it away!

Take any clean clothes, shoes, bags, linen, towels, blankets, pillows, kitchen equipment and small electronics to our Red Nose Bins or recycle Hub on Level 2

Bring any unopened non-perishable food items (including cereal, noodles, jars and tin foods, long-life milk) to the Welcome Hub to be donated to support homeless people around Adelaide.

/ Your Key 🔑

If you have received a physical key during your stay, you will need to return this on check out at our Welcome Hub on the ground floor. You can also leave your key in your apartment.

/ Bond 💰

Once your apartment inspection has been completed, our team will check your account to ensure this has been settled. If there are any damages, rent arrears or cleaning charges you will have the option to settle this on departure or have this deducted from your bond.

Your bond will be returned to you directly from Consumer Business Services (CBS), you will need to log in here and accept the bond return using your log in details. Our community team can assist with any questions about this process during your check out.

If you haven't registered a CBS account, please let our team know.

If you have an Australian bank account, please keep this open to receive your refund.

/ Apartment/Room Moves 🔄

If you are moving apartment, the same check out procedures apply. See the team to organize access to your new apartment.

/ Mail 📬

Please update your new address details as we are unable to forward on mail and must return it to the sender.
