What is Swivel Sync Alpha?

Swivel Sync Alpha is an early access program that invites a select group of Swivel customers to help us expand our list of supported carriers and institutions. As an Alpha participant, you'll be among the first to set up and connect with new carriers we're working to support next.

By participating, you play a key role in our research and development efforts. Your feedback helps us fine-tune functionality, improve the user experience, and ensure seamless connectivity across new carriers before they're rolled out to the broader Swivel customer base.

How Customers are Approved and Engaged

Once a customer has been identified as a potential Alpha participant, the Swivel Sync team manages the review and engagement process:

  1. Review and profile. The Swivel Sync team reviews and profiles the customer's product data in Swivel CRM.

  2. Outreach. If the customer meets the Alpha criteria, the Swivel Sync team will reach out directly to engage on next steps.

  3. Waiting list (if applicable). Customers who meet the criteria but cannot be onboarded immediately may be added to a waiting list and contacted as resources become available.

What to Expect as an Alpha Participant

Alpha participation is hands-on. Here's what you can expect once you've been selected:

  • Discovery and Troubleshooting Calls: We'll walk through connecting new sources together and dig into carrier websites to gather product details and values.

  • On-Site Visit with a Swivel Sync Engineer: On-site visits range from 1–5 days to initially set up a new carrier. A signed SOW (Statement of Work) is required before the on-site visit can be scheduled.

  • Hands-On Testing: You'll be required to link your sources daily and interact directly with early-stage functionality.

  • Bugs, Improvements & Enhancements: This is early-stage testing, so issues and enhancement requests are expected. Your reports help us address issues quickly and improve the platform.

The Initial Discovery Call

After you've been selected and accepted into the program, your first step is an initial discovery call with the Swivel Sync team. The purpose of this call is to verify carrier portal websites, confirm valid credentials, and address any questions you may have before the on-site visit is scheduled.

Before the Call

To make the most of your discovery call, please prepare the following:

  • Ensure you have access to login credentials and MFA codes (when needed) for each Alpha carrier.

  • Prepare a list of 2–3 sample active policies or accounts from each carrier.

During the Call

For each Alpha carrier, the Swivel Sync team will work with you to verify and view the following:

  • Verify the carrier portal website URL.

  • Log in to each carrier portal website.

  • Screen share session to view the login process.

  • Screen share session to view sample policies and values.

  • Swivel Sync Alpha Q&A.

How Alpha Carriers are Selected

The list of carriers being evaluated through the Alpha Program is managed internally. Carrier candidates are prioritized based on a combination of:

  • Customer requests submitted to Swivel.

  • Internal product data analysis to identify carriers with high active policy volume across the Swivel customer base.

  • R&D capacity and engineering availability.

🔍 Tip: If there's a specific carrier you'd like to see supported contact Swivel Help Chat or Swivel Sync Support. Customer demand is one of the key inputs we use when prioritizing which carriers to evaluate next.
