Glad you asked! Photos are one of the most important parts of your profile, so you're going to want to make sure you're choosing the best ones. (Note: Our screenshots are for desktop but you can access all these same pages on any phone!)
To upload:
Select My Profile > Edit > Business Profile (you'll see "Upload Profile Pictures" as the last option in this section)
Choose the photos from your camera or desktop that you'd like to upload -- you can only upload a maximum of 10!
Each profile will need to be cropped first so it looks good on your page. You can zoom in on an image to make sure it looks just right. Then hit Save.
Once you're done cropping and uploading, hit Save.
To delete: Each photo will have a little red X on it. To delete, just hit the red X on the photo you want to get rid of.
Choosing the BEST photos:
The best photos meet the following criteria:
They show off your best work. Whether you do killer box braids, silk presses, or locs, upload photos of your best styles to let clients know!
They're horizontal rectangles. The app is formatted so that photos show up in horizontal rectangles (480x280px to be exact). It's best to choose photos that fit those parameters.
They're clear and bright -- not dark and blurry!
Choose photos with a clean background. Optimal is a neutral background, but definitely avoid photos with clutter and junk in the background.
Avoid selfies and logos. Your logo may be beautiful, but it doesn't show a potential client your styling skills!
Still not sure of the best photos to choose? Here are some great examples:
Look how well you can see the curl definition in this clear, bright, clean photo by @alstyling:
The best way to **really** show the girls what you can do is with a before & after (and @shan_styles is just showing off with this before, during & after!)
Show how natural your styles with added hair look, like this one from @bombshellstudiosnyc.
Have a photo of you in action, like the marvelous @styledbyreece? Add it! It's an awesome way to give a glimpse of your personality and help users imagine themselves in your chair.
