Samsung settings

Updated over 4 months ago

Android 11

  • Settings > Apps > Swoo > Battery > Battery optimization > All > Swoo – don’t optimize.

  • Settings > Apps > (⁝) menu > Special Access > Optimize battery usage > All > disable Swoo

  • Check lists of sleeping apps, unused apps, deep sleeping apps (Battery > Background usage limits).

Make sure Put unused apps to sleep is disabled. Otherwise, Samsung will put Swoo back to sleep after a few days even if you have woken it up manually

Android 9 and 10

  • Phone settings > Device care > Tap on the Battery item > (⁝) 3-dot menu > Settings > remove Swoo from the lists in Put unused apps to sleep and Auto-disable unused apps

  • Phone settings > Apps > Swoo > Battery > check that Background restriction state as App can use battery in background

  • Phone settings > Device care > Battery > (⁝) 3-dot menu > Settings > disable all toggles (except Notifications) > tap Sleeping apps > Wake up Swoo using the trashcan icon

On some phones, the layout may differ:

  • Phone settings > Device care > Battery > App power management > disable the option Put unused apps to Sleep > remove Swoo from the lists in Sleeping apps and Deep sleeping apps > add Swoo to the list in Apps that won't be put to sleep

Make sure Put unused apps to sleep and Auto-disable unused apps is disabled. Otherwise, Samsung will put Swoo back to sleep after a few days even if you have woken it up manually

Android 8

Settings > Device maintenance > Battery > remove Swoo from the Sleeping apps list and add to Unmonitored apps list
