What biometric authentication is and why it is secure and convenient?

Updated over a year ago

Biometric authentication is a method of verifying a user's identity using unique physical characteristics such as fingerprints, facial features, or voice patterns. In mobile applications, fingerprint scanners and facial recognition systems are the most commonly used biometric methods.

Why it's secure:

• Biometric data is unique to each individual and difficult to forge

• Data is stored in encrypted form on a secure chip within the device

• Unlike passwords or PIN-codes, biometric data can't be "forgotten" or lost

Why it's convenient:

• Quick device unlocking and app login with just a touch or glance

• No need to remember and enter complex passwords

• Works even with gloves or wet hands (for facial recognition)

By using biometric authentication, you get a high level of security and maximum convenience for daily use.
