In Synapse, the default learning design hierarchy is Course > Lesson > Topic. You can then add in content using various assets throughout your lessons and topics.

The Course represents the entire training experience. It is the sum of all the lessons and topics that you design. The Course includes a modal that lets you view important Course information, like the Design Owner, publish status, and due date.

โ€‹Lessons contain topics, and can have one or multiple topics associated with it.

Topics contain raw assets that will make up the content the learner sees.

In this example, the topic has an uploaded image as an asset.

The Editor, Attachment, Embed, Objective, Knowledge Check, and Assessment asset types can all be used to add in content throughout your Design.
