Core Activity

A core activity is an experimental activity whose outcome cannot be known or determined in advance and that is conducted for the purpose of generating new knowledge.

Supporting Activity

A supporting activity is then directly related to one of the core activities. As the name of it says itself it has to “support” the core activity and it’s only a supporting activity if it’s undertaken for the dominant purpose of supporting core activities.

The construction of Synnch is organized the way to help you understand the dependency of core and supporting activities.
