This guide will help you troubleshoot and ensure smooth access to the testing environment. One common challenge testers face is the potential for confusion between preproduction and production tokens, as they often appear with identical headings within the Google MFA token list. This similarity can lead to the inadvertent selection of the wrong token, resulting in authentication errors (Error 401).
Step 1: Setting Up MFA for Preproduction
Access the create password wizard sent to you by email.
Follow the wizard to set up a new password meeting security standards.
Log in using your username and newly created password.
Step 2: Authenticating with MFA
Upon login, you'll be prompted for MFA.
Open the Authenticator app on your phone.
Tap on the "+" symbol to add a new token.
Scan the QR code provided.
Confirm the addition and ensure it corresponds to the preproduction server.
Step 3: Generating and Entering the Authentication Code
After adding the token, wait for it to generate a new code.
Enter the code when prompted during the login process.
Ensure the code corresponds to the token generated for the preproduction server.
Step 4: Security Questions
If prompted, answer security questions specific to the preproduction environment.
Step 5: Confirming Successful Login
After entering the correct authentication code and security questions, attempt to log in again.
Upon successful login, access the Synnch preproduction server without MFA errors.
