Wrong network error

Updated over a week ago

If you see a “Wrong Network” message, your wallet is connected to the wrong blockchain network. Synthetix runs on Ethereum Mainnet, so your wallet need to be set to the correct network.

Some wallets do automatically switch to the correct network.

Common Causes

  • Wallet is set to Optimism, Arbitrum, Base, or another chain.

Steps to Fix

  1. Open your wallet (e.g. Metamask).

  2. Look for the network selector in the wallet.

  3. Click it and choose Ethereum Mainnet.

  4. Refresh the Synthetix page.

Still Not Working?

  • Disconnect and reconnect your wallet.

  • If Ethereum Mainnet is missing, add it manually through your wallet settings.

  • Check that you don’t have browser extensions blocking the connection.
