If your Ledger or Trezor hardware wallet isn’t connecting to Synthetix, it’s usually a setup or browser issue.
Common Causes
Device not unlocked.
Ethereum app not open on the device.
Outdated firmware or wallet software.
USB/Bluetooth connection issue.
Browser not supported (e.g. Safari).
Steps to Fix
Unlock your device
Enter your PIN and unlock your Ledger or Trezor.
Open the Ethereum app
On Ledger: open the Ethereum app.
On Trezor: confirm Ethereum access in Trezor Suite.
Check your connection
Ensure the USB cable (or Bluetooth, if supported) is secure.
Try another cable or port if needed.
Update firmware and software
Make sure Ledger Live or Trezor Suite is up to date.
Update device firmware if prompted.
Try a supported browser
Chrome or Brave work best. Safari is not supported for most wallet extensions.
