After selecting your background, the next step is to choose your content. This screen will present a list of menus you have engineered in the Menu Engineering section. By selecting an engineered menu, the associated content will be pulled into your new design. If you wish not to use an engineered menu you can select a “Start from Scratch”.

If you select “Start from Scratch” or if you want to add more content after pulling the content you already created there are two ways to do so:

On the design screen, click on the “Text” button and a drop-down menu will show two options: “Add Text” and “Add Rich Text”

Two videos follow -  Design From Scratch (pt.1 & pt.2)

NOTE:  We do not recommend RICH TEXT
> it will not be as easily editable within the Design tool

Add Text: Will populate a single text box in the menu, you can highlight this box, delete the word text and add your own words. On the tool bar above the design you can select the font and the font type (i.e bold, italic or regular), the color font, indentation, opacity and other settings. It is useful when adding titles or 2-3 word titles or phrases.

Add Rich Text:  (not recommended) This option will open up a text-editor window when you can add text but also has some extra edit options such as making a numbered or bullet point list.  You can find and replace text, select indentation and other visual settings. Generally, the rich text options is used when adding long-form text such as item description or restaurant history. Note that you can also add long-form text with the “Add Text” option.
