Sysco Studio automatically converts between like units (fluid units, weight units, or volume units) and you can add other conversions, too.

When you add an ingredient to your recipe, the units in "Amount Used" will default to whatever units are associated with that ingredient's cost in the catalog. For example, Milk might be in gallons. But you might not want to add milk to your recipe by the gallon.

You can switch between like units (fluid units, weight units, or volume units) using the dropdown next to Amount Used, and ingredient costs will automatically be recalculated.

Sysco Studio cannot automatically convert from one type of unit to another - for example from gallon (fluid) to pounds (weight).

In those cases, you can use a conversion chart to convert between units for common items, and add a custom unit of measurement to the ingredient.
