Estimated delivery times displayed to customers are based on 3 key settings:
Preparation Time
Your average order prep time can be adjusted under the Menu settings. If prep time is set to 17 minutes or less, we begin looking for a rider as soon as an order is accepted. If prep time is more than 17 minutes, we begin looking for a rider [Prep time - 17 minutes] after an order is accepted. This is because it takes 17 minutes on average for a rider to arrive at the pickup point from the time we start looking. So if an order is accepted at 12:00pm, and the prep time is set to 30 minutes, our system will begin looking for a rider at 12:13pm.
PandaGo estimated rider delivery time
After the customer confirms their address pin, our system makes an API call to Food Panda who shares an estimated delivery time based on how far the customer is from the restaurant. Other real-time factors like traffic are also accounted for in this estimate.
Location extra buffer time
Certain locations, like restaurants inside malls, may require additional buffer time to give riders time to park and walk to the pickup point and back to their bikes. This is accounted for by setting Delivery extra buffer time under the Locations settings. This feature is only accessible by the Tablevibe team at the moment. Please reach out to your account manager if you have locations that require extra buffer time.
