We have multiple checks in place to prevent invalid email addresses from entering your customer database. The most common reasons why people may see an error like "It seems like this email address is not valid" are:
1. Duplicate users: Some users may try to claim a reward multiple times (with different email addresses) on the same device on the same day. This is undesirable.
2. Invalid emails: We use services from zerobounce.net to verify email address validity. This ensures people use a valid email (eg. johndoe@gmail.com, not xxx335343@gmail.co).
3. Low-quality email: People using an email that is part of a hacked database or those people who habitually mark emails as spam may also be blocked. This ensures your emails to other people are not marked as spam.
4. Reward outstanding: People have to redeem an outstanding reward first before they can complete the survey again.
If people see this message, we suggest your staff verify that this person has no outstanding rewards and has not recently completed the survey on the same device.
If that doesn’t resolve it, we suggest asking your customer to use an alternate email address.
