To help you install your tado° devices easily, we provide you with clear, step-by-step instructions that are tailored to your specific system. By following these step-by-step instructions, tado° will also automatically configure itself to your specific heating setup.
Here’s how to find your installation instructions:
Download the tado° app on your smartphone from the Google Play Store or the App Store.
Create a new account or sign in to your existing tado° account.
Add your tado° devices to your home. If this is not your first installation, you’ll need to go to Settings > Rooms & Devices and select Add device.
If you’ve already added your devices, select the tado° device you’d like to install.
Select Installation Instructions.
Select
the make and model of your current wired room thermostat that you want to replace with the tado° Wired Smart Thermostat, or
your boiler or current programmer/controller that you want to replace with the tado° Wireless Receiver.
Follow the customised installation instructions for your tado° device.
You can continue with a paused installation at any time by going to Settings > Rooms & Devices in your tado° app, selecting your device, and clicking on Installation Instructions again. If needed, you can change the selected system to get new instructions (e.g. when moving to another house or getting a new boiler installed).
