What It Is

A Virtual Private Server (VPS) is a type of web hosting that utilizes data center facilities to provide clients with access to a dedicated physical PC or Mac for trading purposes. Essentially, it's a computer located in a data center, configured exclusively with MT4 or MT5 for trading activities.

Benefits Include:

  • Continuous operation: The VPS remains powered on 24/7, enabling uninterrupted trading.

  • Expert Advisors (EAs) can run around the clock without interruptions, unlike traditional PCs.

  • Not impacted by local power outages.

  • Offers privacy and security.

  • Reduces slippage due to its superior performance compared to standard servers and computers.

How to Access

A VPS is typically accessed via the Microsoft Remote Desktop Program (RDP). This program is pre-installed on Windows computers and can be downloaded from the App Store for Mac users.

Tag Markets-Sponsored VPS

Tag Markets offers a sponsored VPS to clients who trade at least 15 standard lots each calendar month. If this requirement is not met, a prorated charge of $20.00 will apply based on the number of lots traded and the remaining days in the month. This fee may be deducted from the client’s trading account balance or paid externally.

Since the lot requirement is assessed at the end of the month, an initial account balance of at least $100 USD or the equivalent in another currency is required.
