What is Take Capital for Traders?

An overview of our mission, the proprietary trading model, and the simulated environment we provide.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Take Capital for Traders (Takecap FT) is a new-generation proprietary trading firm created by traders, for traders. Our mission is to democratize professional trading by discovering talented individuals worldwide and providing them with a platform to showcase their skills risk-free.

To understand how we operate, it is important to understand our model:

1. We Are Not a Broker
Takecap FT is not a broker, financial intermediary, or investment service provider. We do not hold client funds for investment purposes, and no trades occur in live financial markets during our challenges.

2. The Simulated Environment (Virtual Funds)
All trading during Phase 1 (Challenge), Phase 2 (Verification), and Phase 3 (Funded) takes place in a fully simulated environment via the TradeLocker platform.

  • Virtual Capital: You are trading with virtual funds. No actual money is at risk, and you are not liable for losses.

  • Realistic Conditions: Our platform uses real data feeds to replicate live market conditions, including volatility, spreads, and execution dynamics.

3. Account Ownership & Legal Structure
All challenge accounts and their virtual capital remain the exclusive legal property of Take Capital for Traders. This ownership structure is fundamental to our operations, creating a clear legal distinction between our simulated evaluation services and traditional financial intermediation. This ensures a fully compliant environment where traders can demonstrate their skills without personal financial liability.

4. The Path to Real Capital
While the initial phases are simulated to protect both the trader and the firm, our goal is to find talent. Through our Career Plan, exceptional traders who demonstrate consistent risk management may become eligible to trade with real company capital, subject to regulatory compliance and performance milestones.
