FAQs

What is the AutoPay minimum?

  • 20 participating employees is the minimum to qualify for Autopay.

  • In the Partner & Professional packages employers (i.e. brokered accounts) can “buy up” to get AutoPay, paying for a minimum of 20 participating employees.

  • For Partner & Professional packages, there is a 30% participation minimum for PEPM billing purposes only. If the 30% minimum rule results in PEPM fees for at least 20 employees, that employer will also have access to AutoPay if they choose to use it!

Are there any additional fees?

  • *optional add on* - Quarterly Compliance: Annual compliance is included in all the packages. Employers can choose to add quarterly checks if they want. Quarterly compliance checks are an additional fee of $2 PEPM for all participating employees not on AutoPay. (no additional charge for quarterly compliance for employees who participate in Autopay)

  • Partner/Pro Minimum Participation: For Partner & Professional packages, there is a 30% participation minimum for billing purposes only. If employers have less than 30% of their eligible EEs participating, their billed PEPMs will reflect 30% of their eligible EEs.

What are the basic features & services included in each package?

  1. Starter: HRA with reimbursement-only. Emphasis on self-help via in-product help, marketing materials and access to general support.

  2. Growth (incl. ADP): Base HRA elements listed in Starter package plus:

    1. access to AutoPay (with 20 minimum participating employees),

    2. HRIS/payroll integration

    3. AP reporting

    4. reactive onboarding support

  3. Partner: Everything listed in Growth package plus more onboarding support.

  4. Professional: Everything listed in Partner package plus:

    1. Affordability analysis

    2. ALE compliance & tax data

    3. Named Customer Support Manager (CSM)

    4. Onboarding CSM

    5. and more (see note below)

Note, additional services (i.e. QBRs, proactive OE strategic planning, OE enrollment days, etc.) and/or frequency of services may vary for large key accounts versus small accounts in the Professional package.

What packages do brokered accounts have access to?

  • Brokered clients will have access to Professional and Partner packages.

  • ALEs and employers with 50 or more employees are required to be in Professional package, even if fewer than 10 are participating.

  • Non-ALEs have to have a minimum of 10 participating employees to be in Professional. Employers can “buy up” and be billed for a minimum of 10 participating EEs to elect the Professional package.

  • We want to encourage qualified brokered clients to select Professional package. Experience will be closest to Group and will give them the best ICHRA experience. Brokers will be incentivized with higher commissions for Pro pkg.

What packages do Direct/New-to-Insurance (NTI) accounts have access to?

  • Starter and Growth packages will be available for self-sign-up.

  • On our website, Direct/NTI prospects will see the Professional packages listed and have the option to call our team and express interest in it.

What packages do client referrals from partners (ADP & Decisely) have access to?

  • ADP referrals will be sold the Growth package and provided a code for an ADP-exclusive discount on the Growth package only (bringing the monthly platform fee from $100 to $40). They will also a discount code for PEPM until HRIS is available for them. More info on this page.

  • Decisely clients will remain on the Legacy platform until further notice.

What HRIS integrations will be available with Take Command?

  • Take Command is partnering with Finch for HRIS integrations.

  • View this page to see the integration options along with the information that is synced. “Organization” = roster sync and “Deductions” = payroll for Take Command purposes.

  • Finch has 2 types of integration that work slightly differently: Automated and Assisted.

    • Automated integration provide fresh data every 24 hours, or on-demand.

    • Assisted integration offer broader coverage, but these are refreshed weekly (up to 7 day delay).

  • See this page for more HRIS info, resources and talking points.

When does the new pricing take effect?

  • New clients starting on HRA Hub will sign up with new pricing and packages. Note that some Brokered clients may receive discounted legacy pricing if the deal was sold prior to finalization of packages (ie. Early Access clients and some 10/1 starts).

  • Existing clients will stay on existing legacy pricing through 2024. When they are migrated to HRA Hub prior to OE, they will be placed in a new HRA Hub package. However, they will receive discount pricing until January 2025. Key brokered accounts will largely have custom pricing beyond Dec 2024 to help them transition to new pricing. Custom pricing will be determined on a client-by-client basis by Client Success and Finance and approved by leaders (Ven, JB and Ami).

  • For clients who will receive discounts, discount codes will be available. The employer admin will enter the discount code when setting up Stripe. Onboarding team will provide the admin with the discount codes to enter. If any issues arise, assure ER that TC will apply credits to ensure client will only owe correct fees.

What are benefit consultant commissions for each of the brokered packages? What are the PEPM splits between Take Command and Consultant?

  • Partner: Total $30 PEPM = Take Command $21 + Benefit Consultant $9

  • Professional: Total $40 PEPM = Take Command $26 + Benefit Consultant $14

Can Consultants increase the PEPM to allow for higher commissions?

Yes, but the rules depend on the client’s package:

  • Partner: Consultants can only increase the PEPM to increase broker commission for the Partner package if it is required to close the deal, if they are too small to upgrade to Professional package, or if it is needed in a particular market to keep the consultant whole to group. These situations require an exception approval by Tanner and Jake.

  • Professional: Consultants can increase the PEPM in the Professional package.

Can Consultants reduce or waive their piece of the PEPM?

  • Consultants can reduce or waive their split of the PEPM to some extent. They can waive their fee and give clients up to a $5 discount.

  • Partner: The adjusted total PEPM cannot be lower than $25. At $25, the full amount will go to Take Command.

  • Professional: The adjusted total PEPM cannot be lower than $35. At $35, the full amount will go to Take Command.

Example 1

  • Consultant waives $5 of the $14 total allotted to them

  • Client pays $35 PEPM

  • TC takes $26

  • Consultant takes $9

Example 2

  • Consultant waives $7 of the $14 total allotted to them

  • Client pays $35 PEPM (same as example 1)

  • TC takes $28

  • Consultant takes $7

i.e. we will not reduce the total service fee PEPM amount by more than $5, regardless of how much more a Benefit Consultant reduces their portion of the fee beyond $5
