Introduction

Working at Talatask involves three main parts of the job:

Part 1: Data Entry

This involves watching rugby footage, using your knowledge of the sport and our coding system to label the events accurately as they appear, and correctly assigning those events to players.

Part 2: Quality Assurance

This involves checking the work of another analyst to ensure there are no errors, and making edits any time you spot a mistake.

Part 3: Disputes

After quality assurance is complete, the task is sent back to the original analyst where they can review the changes made and request a dispute if they disagree with anything. Once both analysts are in agreement, payment is sent.

Important to Remember

Q: What happens if the timer for a task runs out?

A: If your task timer expires, the system unclaims the assignment automatically and returns it to the pool so other analysts can claim it.

Q: How do I claim assignments?

A: Open the assignments tab and claim the available task. Once claimed, it becomes locked to you until completed, unclaimed, or the timer expires.

Q: Why did I get a notification but see no available assignments?

A: Assignments can be claimed quickly by other analysts.

Q: When do we set commitments?

A: Set commitments when you receive the WhatsApp notification (or official channel) that commitments are open/available. Commitments usually indicate your availability and expected workload.

Q: Can I unclaim an assignment?

A: You can unclaim a task to release it back to the pool (e.g., if you can't finish or you have an emergency). Do this as early as possible to avoid delays for the team.

Q: What should I do if the video is missing or won't load?

A: Report the issue immediately with the Game ID, and what you see (black screen, error code, loading loop).

Q: What should I do if I think I have a duplicate assignment?

A: Stop coding and report it to support/helpdesk with both Assignment IDs. Duplicates can cause double work and conflicting data.

Q: How do I report technical issues during coding?

A: Capture key details: Assignment/Game ID, browser/device, time, steps to reproduce, and screenshots/screen recording if possible. Submit to the internal helpdesk so the development team can diagnose it quickly.

Q: How do I submit a completed task correctly?

A: Ensure all required codes are complete, timestamps align with the video, and then click the complete button.

Q: How do I track my task progress and workload?

A: On the Assignment Tab, track claimed tasks and scroll down to Completed Assignments to check completed tasks.

Q: How do I access the training course?

A: Go to https://app.talatask.ai/onboarding or simply click the Onboarding Tab on top of the web page.
