If you want to check the progress of your DBS application, please reach out to your employer to get your reference number, it will start with E1 if it's a Basic level check, or a E0 if it's Standard or Enhanced level.
Once you have this, you can select the appropriate tracking service below, there are different links for both. You will just need your E Reference number and your date of birth.

If you're experiencing financial hardship due to a pending DBS Application and it has been processing for over 28 days, you can contact the DBS to discuss an escalation - please note, you may be asked for evidence, which may include correspondence from an employer stating they must receive your DBS certificate by a certain date, or evidence of your current arrears.
Or, if your application has been at 'Stage 4 - Police Records search' for more than 60 days, you could be eligible for an escalation in line with DBS guidance (see full guidance here).
