When partners share data from their Student Information System (SIS), it's possible that the district may have shared a phone number that is either incorrect or would prefer not to receive communication through TalkingPoints.

While we'd generally recommend that this phone number be removed directly from the SIS, we understand that this process may sometimes take longer. Below are some alternatives to unsubscribing a family SMS contact.

Ways to Unsubscribe SMS Family Contact

  1. Contacts receiving messages through SMS Text can simply text "STOP" in all caps, with no quotes, to the phone number from which they're receiving messages.

  2. Additionally, a School or District Admin can manually unsubscribe contacts that are receiving messages through SMS text by following the directions below:

Step 1: Navigate to your "Students" menu and click on the name of the intended student

Step 2: Locate the name or phone number of the person who would like to be removed.

Step 3: Click the three dots next to the contact's name.

Step 4: Click on "Unsubscribe contact."
