When a student has multiple contacts it's important for you to be able to tell which contact sent which message to you. We've come up with a couple of ways to make that easier for you to manage.

*Please note: Schools who are rostered through Clever will not be able to see the difference in family titles and instead will only see "Relative". This feature has not yet been released by Clever and therefore, titles remain generic. Please contact Clever Support for updates.

Method 1: Hover to Uncover

If you're unsure which contact is responding to you in a family message thread because of duplicate relationship roles, quickly determine the person's identity by hovering your mouse over their role to reveal their relationship, name, and phone number!

Method 2: Check the label

Within your message threads, the student's contacts are listed at the top where you can choose who you want to communicate with. The contact's relationship to the student is also indicated underneath the message.

Method 3: View Details in Mobile App for Teachers

Within the message thread, simply hold your finger on the contact, for example, "from Mother." Then, the mother's contact information will appear at the bottom. You can also do this for likes and read receipts for announcements.

Option 4: When initiating a message, you can also more easily select one or specific contacts for a student.
