Learn how to edit student information in your Clever or ClassLink TalkingPoints account

Teachers are only able to edit ELL status for students that have been manually added to the platform. This is because the information for students who are already rostered through the school information system (SIS) will transfer over during the nightly synch. To change a home language please see the instructions below.


On the web:

Step 1: Open up the class roster where the student whose information you wish to edit is in and click the three dots to the right of their name.

Step 2: Click edit student and scroll down to their contacts. Click on the three dots of the contact you wish to edit and click edit contact.

Step 3: Click on language and choose the desired language you wish to set for the family.

On the mobile app:

  1. Select the student whose information you'd like to edit.

  2. Select 'Edit' in the top right corner.

  3. Select "Edit" and add or change what you need to.

Note: Everything else will be overwritten with the nightly sync with the SIS (Student Information System) so it will need to be changed there instead.
