How to Delete Messages (Teachers and Admins)

Learn how to delete message threads on the teacher and admin portals.

Teachers and admins can delete unwanted message threads from their message history. Please note the following:

  • Although messages are erased from your view, they are not deleted from the TalkingPoints platform. This is because admins need the original message history for their records.

  • For teachers, message threads can only be deleted via the Teacher mobile app.

  • For admins, message threads can only be deleted via web.

  • District admins can only download message history.


Teacher Mode

  1. Click "See all."

  2. Select the message thread you want to delete.

  3. Swipe the message from right to left and select "delete."


School Admin Mode

  1. Click on "messages."

  2. Hover over the message thread you want to delete with your mouse and click "delete." Then, a box will appear to confirm deletion. Select "delete" again.
