Availability Migration Rollout

We are beginning to transition to a new Availability model, improving the way you enter and track both your unavailability and your availability. In this process, we are phasing out the current Unavailability feature and moving all existing Unavailability requests to the new Availability feature.

Some of these improvements include:

  • The ability to edit Availability requests

  • Ability to enter both Availability and Unavailability requests.

  • Increased visibility on when staff are available/unavailable

  • Availability on a fortnightly frequency

  • Availability request history/audit trails

What to Expect

Migration Period 1 (29th April 2026)

The first account migrations are being automatically conducted over the next two weeks (following the 29th of April) in a staggered rollout. If your organisation has no pending unavailability requests at the time it’s migrated, all existing approved Unavailability requests will be converted into the new Availability format, and you can start using the new feature.

To prepare for this, it is recommended to adjust the Pending Unavailability date range filter to All and approve/decline any outstanding requests.

If you have pending unavailability requests at the time of the migration, your organisation will be skipped.

After the initial migration period, we will be conducting a second migration over the course of 3 weeks to account for the remaining organisations.

Migration Period 2

If you had pending unavailability requests at the time of the first migration, or were skipped for another reason, you will be moved to the new feature during the second migration period.

You can request to switch to the new Availability feature at any point by contacting support@tanda.co or using the chat bubble in the bottom right of your screen. Note that Pending Unavailability Requests will not be migrated. It is recommended to approve/decline any outstanding pending Unavailability requests before doing so.

Week 1 (Warning Period):

The first week of this period will be used to notify you of the upcoming change to the feature.

Week 2 (Grace Period):

This week can be used to finalise existing unavailability requests, since Pending requests will not be migrated.

Week 3 (Final Migrations):

On the 27th of May 2026, we are migrating all remaining accounts to the new Availability feature.
