Creating Event Lists in Tandem

Sometimes you’ll need to create a series of related events that don’t fit into a standard recurring schedule. For this, Tandem provides the Add Event List tool.

What Event Lists Do

The Add Event List tool allows you to:

  • Create multiple events at once.

  • Automatically generate a Page where those events are displayed together.

  • Give users an easy way to view the full schedule without manually filtering the calendar.

This is especially useful for sports seasons, performance schedules, or other grouped activities.

Starting an Event List

  1. Use the left-hand navigation and click Add Event.

  2. Scroll to the bottom and select Add Event List.

  3. You are now in the Add Event List Wizard.

Setting Up the Event List Page

  • Page Name – Enter a name for your event list.

  • Description – Add a brief description (optional).

  • Featured Image – Upload an image to display at the top of the page (optional).

  • Private – Check this box if you do not want the page visible to the public.

Adding Tags

In the Tags section:

  • Select the participating groups.

  • Add any additional tags (such as departments, activities, or event types).

These tags will be automatically attached to each event in the list.

Adding Events

For each event in the list:

  1. Enter the event name.

  2. Provide the date, start time, and end time.

  3. Select the location.

  4. Click + Add Event and repeat until your list is complete.

If an event recurs, use the + Recurrence button to generate repeated instances.

Why Event Lists Are Helpful

By using event lists in Tandem:

  • You can enter multiple related events quickly.

  • Participants have a single page to reference instead of searching the full calendar.

  • Schedules for sports, performances, or program series are easier to manage and share.

  • Event details stay consistent and organized across the group.
