Managing Work Orders in Tandem

In Tandem, Work Orders can be an assigned task that is part of an event or it can be its own task. By scheduling all of your organization’s work orders in Tandem, your teams assignments can be in one manageable location. You'll know who needs to do what in order to make repairs in a room, provide food services, or to make an event successful.

Why Setting Up Work Orders is Important

By using Tandem for work orders:

  • You can have your team's assignments all in one dashboard.

  • Assign Tasks, set priority and apply completion dates and times if applicable

  • Have personnel mark tasks as complete

How to Start Setting Up Work Orders

  1. Service Departments – Define the Departments that handle service requests.

    Examples: Maintenance, Food Services, Technology.

  2. Set up user roles - Build out your service department teams as team Admins, Managers, and Personnel

  3. Define Triggers - Edit Equipment and Facilities that automatically trigger work orders when an event uses them

Set up Facility Triggers

  1. Go to My Organization > Facilities.

  2. Find the facility you want to trigger a work order and click Edit.

  3. Find Work Order Options and expand it.

  4. Check the box to automatically submit work order request when used in an event.

  5. Select the service department you want assigned when this facility is used in an event.

  6. Click Modify to save.

Set up Equipment Triggers

  1. Go to My Organization > Equipment.

  2. Find the equipment you want to trigger a work order and click Edit.

  3. Find Work Order Options and expand it.

  4. Check the box to automatically submit work order request when used in an event.

  5. Select the service department you want assigned when this equipment is used in an event.

  6. Click Modify to save.

Once these steps are complete, your work order system is ready for requests, and your teams can begin assigning and completing assignments.
