How to restore objects that have been ghosted or removed from your account.

Managing Ghosted Records in Tandem

At times, it may be necessary to remove Groups, People, Facilities, or Equipment that are no longer needed. In Tandem, these items are not permanently deleted. Instead, they are soft deleted (or ghosted) to ensure accurate historical event data is preserved.

  • Ghosted objects can no longer be selected in the Add Event Wizard or other tools.

  • Ghosted people can no longer sign in to Tandem.

This approach ensures past event records remain accurate.


How to Restore Ghosted Records

  1. Go to the section where the object was originally managed (e.g., Groups, People, Facilities, Equipment).

  2. Use the Filter Tool (funnel icon).

  3. Select Show ghosted records and apply the filter.

  4. Find the record you want to restore.

  5. Select Unghost to make the object active again. If this is a person, make sure you check their permissions and ensure they are correct.
