Copy events and create templates

Copying Events

Most of your time in Tandem will be spent entering events into the system. You can view the details of any event on the calendar and use the Copy feature to create an exact duplicate. Just change the date and, if needed, adjust the times.

If you don’t have permission to add events directly to the calendar, your event will become a request and wait for the proper approval.

Creating Event Templates

If you want to make a reusable template, you can either start by copying an event or begin in the Add Event Wizard.

  • Fill out any fields you want preloaded when you use the template.

  • Expand More Options and check Save as Template to store it as a template instead of an event.

Using Event Templates

Now each time you create a new event in the Add Event Wizard, you can load your saved template at the bottom of the page.

Why Event Templates Are Helpful

By using templates in Tandem:

  • You save time by reusing pre-filled details instead of starting from scratch.

  • Your events stay consistent, with standard information applied automatically.

  • Scheduling becomes more efficient, especially for recurring or similar types of events.
