To advertise your products, we need your product XML feed in Google Shopping format. Squarespace doesn’t generate an XML feed by default, but you can easily create one using an extension. Here’s how to set it up and upload it to our app.
1. Get the URL of your product XML feed
A product XML feed is a file that contains your product data (name, price, stock, images, etc.). Squarespace itself doesn’t offer direct XML export, but you can use GoDataFeed — an official extension for Squarespace that lets you create and automatically update product feeds for Google Shopping and other channels.
Step 1 – Install the extension
Go to Squarespace Extensions.
Search for GoDataFeed.
Click Connect to Site.
Create a GoDataFeed account.
Confirm the connection to your Squarespace store and grant access to your products.
Step 2 – Create a Google Shopping feed
In the GoDataFeed dashboard, open the Feeds tab.
Click Add → select Google Shopping.
Complete the feed setup and save it.
Step 3 – Get your XML feed URL
In GoDataFeed, go to Feeds and select the feed you created.
In the left menu, click Settings.
Under General Settings:
File Name → e.g., product-feed.xml
File Format → XML
Leave other options (compression, encoding) as default.
Save your settings.
Under Feed Pull, click Create feed URL.
Copy the generated public XML feed link.
2. Upload the feed URL to the Tanganica app
Copy your feed URL.
Paste it into the designated field in our app.
Confirm.
✅ Done! If the feed is valid and in the correct format, your products will start syncing into the app.
3. What if you get an error?
❌ Wrong format → The feed must be XML, not CSV or JSON.
❌ Invalid structure → Some fields may be missing or incorrect (e.g., prices or categories).
❌ Invalid URL → Open the URL in your browser to confirm it loads an XML file.
