The Apple Watch should automatically install on your phone when you download TANGENT and should automatically fire up when you start a round... but sometimes technology gets in the way. Here are simple steps to get your watch going if you experience any issues.
1) Make sure that the app is installed on your watch by going to the 'Watch' app on your phone. The icon looks like this:
β
You'll want to scroll down to the 'INSTALLED ON APPLE WATCH'
If TANGENT is there, you are good to go. If not, make sure you have a watch series 3 or higher running watch os 5.0 or higher.
If the app shows as installing or not 'Installed' then that needs to be solved first. Try power cycling your Watch if it seems stuck.
2) In the TANGENT app on your phone, hit the Watch button in the lower left once you've started a round.
This should kick start your watch, sometimes it can take up to 30 seconds to load.
If it still doesn't load, do step 3.
3) Power cycle your watch... and go back to step 2... and if it still doesn't work... power cycle your phone.
This almost always resets the connection and gets things going. This should RARELY be required.
4) Still not working? Contact support and we'll work to debug your situation.
If you are having consistent connectivity issues or this is happening more than once in a blue moon... Contact support at support@tangent.golf.
Let's improve together.
