Step-by-Step Instructions
1. View AI Caddie Suggestion
As soon as you start a round, the AI Caddie suggestion will appear.
It shows:
What club to hit
Where to aim
2. Understand the Recommendations
Optimal Option:
Simulates the outcome of playing the hole 1,000 times
Chooses the shot that would lead to the lowest average score
Factors considered: your distances + dispersions, hole layout, bunkers, hazards, wind, elevation
Aggressive Option (if shown):
Simulates to find the lowest possible score in a single round
More birdie/eagle potential, but higher risk (more doubles, etc.)
If no aggressive option appears, the optimal is already the aggressive pick
3. Change the Club
Scroll the club selector wheel at the bottom of the screen
The caddie will update the target suggestion for any club you choose
Choose a club/target combo you can fully commit to
4. Move the Pin (for approach shots)
Tap the Front, Center, Back Yardages Box in the top left corner to zoom in on the green
Long press + drag to move it to the actual pin location
This updates your AI Caddie suggestion to be more precise
5. Access AI Caddie on Lock Screen
Lock your phone during the round
You’ll see the AI Caddie Live Activity showing:
Club to hit
Plays-like distance
Button to add shot

6. Use AI Caddie on Apple Watch
Swipe left on your Apple Watch during the round
View:
Recommended club
Plays-like distance
Wind info (top right corner)
Tap the adjustment icon to see what went into the plays-like calculation (elevation, wind, temp, etc.)
7. Change Club/Target on Watch
Tap the suggested club to enter map view
Use More/Less Club buttons to toggle through your bag
View where to hit with each club
A slight delay may occur (processing runs through your phone)
