Golf is always better with a friend and sharing your golf is easy in Tangent Golf.
With 'friends' you can:
Play together with one person keeping score.
Play together with individual rounds linked for full shot tracking and a linked scorecard.
Get notified when your friends are playing.
Live spectate and follow along as they play.
See each other's golf stats and round history.
Additionally, get free access to premium features by inviting friends into the Tangent Golf platform. Help us grow the community. Golf is more fun with friends.
Adding an existing friend or inviting a new friend is easy in Tangent Golf.
From the home screen, select 'Community'.
You'll the following sections:
Friends - This is where accepted friends will show up and you can see their profile, rounds, stats, etc.
Pending Friend Invites / Add Friend - This is where you'll see any outstanding invites where you are waiting for a friend to accept. Tap '+ Friend' to add a new friend.
Following Section - This is where any influencers or accounts you choose to follow will show up. If you have notifications enabled you'll get notified when these players are playing.
Community to Follow - This is where influencers or interesting community members will show up that you can follow and compare yourself to.
Once you click '+ Friend'. Fill out the 'Add Friend' form.
First Name (Optional): This is what your friend will be called in the request to join.
Last Name (Optional): This is what your friend will be called in the request to join.
Email (REQUIRED): This is how PAR Golf finds existing users and to send the invite someone who has not yet downloaded the app.
Gender Reference: This sets whether their stats will be compared to male or female references for strokes gained.
Handicap: This jump starts their handicap if you are playing an immediate match. After they log a few rounds it will use the calculated handicap from PAR Golf.

If they are already a member of Tangent Golf... They will be sent an email and/or notification of your friend request. If they accept, they will be linked to you and you will be able to see their golf related data, spectate each other's rounds, and play together. You will not be given any free access for adding friends that are already part of the platform.
If they are not a member of Tangent Golf... They will be sent an email of your friend request. If they download the app and register with the email you gave, you will be given free access for growing the platform. If they accept your friend request, they will be linked to you and you will be able to see their golf related data, spectate each other's rounds, and play together. If they join the platform and decline your friend request, you will still be given the free access.
What happens when they Accept / Reject your request?
You will receive a notification letting you know the response.
You can also follow any influencer by simply tapping on their account and choosing to follow.
