Whether you're having trouble with Swing Detection in the PAR Golf app or just want to see the collected swing data, here's how to collect data that can be analyzed and passed to me, the developer, for debugging any issues.
First you'll want to go to Preferences in PAR Golf by tapping your profile pic in the top left of the home screen.
Scroll down to the 'Watch' section and select 'Go to Swing Studio'.
Your watch should automatically start up and go into swing detection mode with a screen that looks like this:
If not, you can hit the 'Start Swing Studio on Watch' button on your phone to kick it off.
Now you are ready to start logging swings. Simply take a real golf stance, preferably with a club (no ball necessary). Take your normal golf posture and swing away. You should see the swing count increment and you will have data appear on your phone from the collected swing. It should look similar to below:
You can switch through the tabs to see different signals. You can collect as many swings as you want. For each swing you can hit the red 'Process Swing with Algorithm' button to see if it would have been captured in the app while playing. If Detected = โ ... You are good to go!
If you are having issues on the course, first make sure your settings are correct as described here. Then collect some example swings in this Swing Studio and shoot me a note in the in-app chat or email dweb@pargolfapp.com and I'll get you sorted.
