Cloning a signup form or popup in BayEngage is an incredibly efficient feature that allows you to duplicate an existing form with all its design elements and initial settings. This capability is invaluable when you want to create a new form that is similar to one you've already designed, perhaps with minor tweaks for a different campaign, or when you wish to use a successful form as a template. By cloning, you save significant time and effort compared to building a new form from scratch.

  1. Navigate to Signup Forms: From your BayEngage dashboard, locate and click on the "Signup Forms" option in the left-hand navigation panel. This action will redirect you to the "Signup Forms and Popups" page, which displays a comprehensive list of all the forms you have created.

  2. Identify the Form for Cloning: Browse through the list of your signup forms and popups to find the specific form you intend to duplicate.

  3. Access More Actions: On the right-hand side of the row corresponding to your chosen form, you will see a "More actions" dropdown menu. Click on this menu to reveal a list of available actions.

  4. Select the "Clone" Option: From the "More actions" dropdown, select the "Clone" option. This will trigger a pop-up window to appear.

  5. Assign a Name to Your New Popup:

    • A dialog box titled "Clone this popup?" will appear. Within this box, you'll find a field labeled "Name for new popup." By default, it will suggest a name like "Copy of [Original Form Name]".

    • It is highly recommended to edit this field and enter a unique, descriptive name that identifies your new cloned form. This helps distinguish it easily from the original and other forms.

  6. Confirm the Cloning Process: After entering the desired name for your new form, click the blue "Clone" button located within the dialog box.

  7. Verification of Successful Cloning:

    • Upon successful cloning, a brief "Cloned successfully" notification will appear at the bottom of your screen.

    • Your newly cloned form will now be visible at the top of your "Signup Forms and Popups" list. It will typically have a "Draft" status and will display the current date and time as its creation timestamp.

Conclusion:

Cloning a signup form or popup in BayEngage streamlines your workflow, allowing for rapid iteration and deployment of similar marketing assets. Remember that a cloned form starts in "Draft" status, providing you with the opportunity to make any necessary modifications to its content, design, or targeting rules before activating it. This powerful feature ensures consistency across your campaigns while offering the flexibility to adapt your forms to diverse marketing needs.
