This document outlines the procedure for integrating your Canva account with the BayEngage application. This integration facilitates a seamless workflow for importing and utilizing custom Canva designs directly within the BayEngage email template editor.
Step 1: Authorizing the Canva Integration
The initial step involves establishing an authorized connection between your BayEngage and Canva accounts.
Log in to your BayEngage account and navigate to the Apps section via the left-hand menu.
Locate and select the Canva application to begin the installation process.
You will be redirected to a Canva authorization screen. Ensure you are authenticating with the correct Canva account credentials.
To finalize the connection, click Allow to grant BayEngage the necessary read-only permissions for your Canva assets. Upon completion, a success notification will confirm the integration.
Step 2: Accessing Canva Designs within BayEngage
Once the integration is active, your Canva design library becomes accessible from within the BayEngage Media Library.
Navigate to the Media Library in the primary navigation menu.
Select the newly available Canva tab.
Your existing Canva designs will be populated in the gallery view. Use the "Fetch designs" button to perform the initial sync or to refresh the gallery with any recent changes made in your Canva account. This ensures the displayed assets are always current.
Step 3: Importing High-Resolution Designs
To ensure optimal image quality in your email campaigns, each required design must be formally imported into BayEngage.
From the Canva gallery, select the design you intend to use.
A detailed preview pane will open. This view provides design metadata and includes View Design and Edit Design options. Clicking these will redirect you to your Canva account, allowing for direct modifications. After making changes in Canva, you must return to the BayEngage gallery and use the "Fetch designs" button (as described in Step 2) to synchronize the updates.
Before importing, you can specify the file format for the asset. Under the Download options, select your desired type (e.g., PNG, JPG, or GIF) from the dropdown menu.
Click the "Import to Bayengage" button to transfer the full-resolution asset into your local BayEngage library.
Step 4: Utilizing Imported Assets in Email Templates
After a successful import, the design is cataloged and ready for use.
Within the Media Library, navigate to the "User Uploaded" section. All imported Canva designs are stored here.
To efficiently locate these assets, you may apply the source filter for "Imported from Canva".
The high-resolution image is now available to be inserted into any email template via the drag-and-drop editor.
Critical Note on Image Quality:
The designs displayed within the "Canva" tab are low-resolution thumbnails intended for preview purposes only. The "Import to Bayengage" function must be used to transfer the original, high-quality file. Utilizing imported assets from the "User Uploaded" section is essential to maintain design fidelity and brand integrity in all email communications.
