This guide will walk you through the process of creating and utilizing advanced, pre-built segments in BayEngage to target niche audiences with personalized messaging effectively.

Creating an advanced segment

To begin, follow these simple steps:

  • Log in to your BayEngage account.

  • Navigate to Lists & Segments and click on Create Segment.

  • Select Browse Ideas to access a variety of pre-built segment templates.

Exploring pre-built segments

BayEngage offers nine distinct pre-built segments to help you categorize your audience:

  • VIP customers: Identify and engage with your most valuable customers, who act as brand advocates. This segment is based on the "Total amount spent" on your website.

  • Recurring customers: Pinpoint and reward your loyal, repeat customers. The "Placed order" data determines this segment.

  • Patrons: Discover customers who are strong supporters and believers in your brand, also based on "Placed order" information.

  • Wanderers: Target visitors who have not yet made a purchase and entice them with attractive discounts. This segment is also defined by the "Placed order" history (or lack thereof).

  • Occasional spenders: Identify infrequent buyers and encourage them to purchase more often with special offers. This is another segment based on "Placed order" data.

  • Recharge cancelled subscription: Re-engage with customers who have cancelled their subscriptions. This segment is based on the "Subscription cancelled" status.

  • Recharge active subscription: Find and connect with customers who currently have an active subscription. This is identified through the "Subscription created" data.

  • Recharge expired subscription: Target customers whose subscriptions have expired to encourage renewal. This segment is based on the "Subscription expired" status.

  • Recharge no subscription: Identify customers who have not subscribed to a specific product. The "No subscription" status determines this.

Customization and Management

For more granular targeting, you can apply additional filters and use "AND" & "OR" operators to further refine your segments. This allows for hyper-personalized email campaigns. Once a segment is created, click Save & Continue to save your changes.

You can easily find, edit, or delete your newly created segments from the Contact Lists & Segments section on your BayEngage dashboard. Click on the More actions drop-down menu to manage your segments.
