BayEngage enables its users to send personalized and targeted email campaigns with the power of segmentation. You can create segments based on email activity, purchase behavior, demographics, and customer subscription. We’re going to deep dive into Purchase Behavior segment:
Place Order
Total Amount Sent
Purchased Product

Follow the below steps to create purchase behavior segment:
Login to BayEngage
Click on the Lists & Segments from the BayEngage dashboard, then click on Create Segment
3. Click on the Include People base drop-down list box, then scroll down to Purchase Behavior
Placed Order:
4. To create a segment for Placed order:
Click on the Placed order
You can understand more about your customer's Purchase Behavior using Placed order on your website
Apply additional filters based on the logic you are looking to segment. You can also use the Campaign Filter option to select individual campaign(s) or campaign tags.
Use And & OR operators to further drill down your segment and make your emails hyper-personalized.
Once you’re done creating your segment, click on Save & Continue
Total Amount Spent:
5. To create a segment for Total Amount Spent:
Click on the Total Amount Spent
You can understand more about your customer's Purchase Behavior using Total Amount Spent on your website
Apply additional filters based on the logic you are looking to segment
Use And & OR operators to further drill down your segment and make your emails hyper-personalized.
Once you’re done creating your segment, click on Save & Continue
Purchased Product:
Purchased product as the name of the segment suggests, allows you to create segments or filters based on the products that your customers have purchased.
This helps in tapping into the opportunities of cross-selling and upsell and makes your emails highly engaging, relevant, and conversion-driven.
6. Click on the “Include people based on” drop-down and choose the filter “Purchased product” under purchase behavior.
7. Apply additional filters (if required) based on the frequency and quantity purchased and the timeline.
8. Utilize the search function right below the drop-down to choose the purchased products in your store. Perform the search based on product taxonomy which could be variants, products, collections, and, tags.
💡 Note: The products purchased in your online store get synced automatically in these segments at regular intervals.
9. Use “And” & “OR” operators to further drill down your segment and make your emails hyper-personalized.
10. Once you’re done creating your segment, click on “Save & Continue”.
11. You can edit the segment anytime you want from the Lists & Segments page.
