What is a cart recovery popup?

A cart recovery popup is contextually placed while a user who abandoned their cart without making a purchase exits your website. The objective of these pop-ups is to nudge the user to complete the purchase with an attractive discount or offer.

Learn how to create your cart recovery popup by following the steps below.

Steps to create a cart recovery popup

STEP 1: Sign-up for BayEngage in the top right corner to experience a 14-day free trial of the app, or if you are already a member, login to your account

STEP 2: Select Signup Forms from the list of features provided by BayEngage on the right side of the page

STEP 3: Click on the Create new option in the top right corner of the page

STEP 4: Select the category abandoned cart and select the popup that you like the best

STEP 5: Once you pick your favorite template, provide a sign-up form name for your popup, choose the list to which you want the subscribers via pop-up to be added to

STEP 6: Design and customize your pop-up template as you like.

A: Start designing your recovery popup based on your requirements using the drag-and-drop editor.

You can add columns, buttons, forms, stock images, videos, GIFs, and many other options to make your popups look attractive and colorful.

B: You can customize the time zone, choose the set of viewers (target audience), set the duration of the appearance of the popup on the screen, and you can also add new users from the subscription list.

C: You can also create a flow for your popup based on your target audience. Autoresponders are usually used to send your prospects the right messages at a particular time. This can increase open rates.

In this flow, you can set the activity and time delay, and then if you want to send an email or SMS, just drag and drop the actions, time, or splits accordingly. Let’s dive deeper into this.

  • Actions contain Emails and SMS where you can select any one of the methods when the user signs up.

  • Time delay- When you want the following recovery email popup to be sent through email or SMS.

  • Splits- splits can help you segregate your prospect's action. For example, if a person views and responds to your email or SMS, then there’s no need to send a follow-up email to that user. You can separate it under two categories- Email split and user split.

You can easily pick each option and drop it wherever you want. Have a look at the screenshot below.

STEP 7: Once you set up a personalized workflow, you can click Save. Then select the Set live option to review your template.

Once everything is in place, click Publish. Your popup will be live on the website link you have registered on the BayEngage app.

This feature on BayEngage is flexible to edit anytime. If you need technical support from our team, reach out to support@targetbay.com.
