What is a welcome popup?
The objective of a welcome popup is to attract new visitors, get them onboard, and encourage them to register or subscribe. It is a great way to engage users and start generating leads right away.
When a user visits a page on your website, this popup appears, welcoming them with a special discount, or offering or encouraging them to subscribe to your Newsletter.
Learn how to create your welcome popup by following the steps below.
Steps to create a successful welcome popup
STEP 1: Sign-up for BayEngage in the top right corner to experience a 14-day free trial of the app, or if you are already a member, login to your account
STEP 2: Select Signup Forms from the left side of the screen
STEP 3: Click on the Create new option in the top right corner of the page
STEP 4: Select the category Welcome your customers and skim through our welcome popup collection!
STEP 5: Pick your favorite template, provide a sign-up form name for your popup, and choose the list to which you want the subscribers via the welcome popup to be
STEP 6: You need to design and customize your template using the three steps mentioned below from this step.
A: Start designing your welcome popup based on your requirements using the drag-and-drop editor as your first step
You can add columns, buttons, forms, stock images, videos, GIFs, and so many other options to make your popups look attractive and colorful.
B: You can customize the time zone, choose the set of viewers (target audience), set the duration of the appearance of the popup on the screen, and you can also add new users from the subscription list.
C: You can also create a flow for your popup based on the audience you are targeting. Autoresponders are usually used to send your prospects the right messages at a particular time. This can increase open rates.
In this flow, you can set the activity and time delay, and then if you want to send an email or SMS, just drag and drop the actions, time, or splits accordingly. Let’s dive deeper into this.
Actions contain Emails and SMS where you can select any one of the methods when the user signs up
Time delay- When you want your welcome popup to appear on your website.
Splits- splits can help you segregate your prospect's action. For example, if a person views and responds to your email or SMS, then there’s no need to send a follow-up email to that user. You can separate it under two categories- Email split and user split.
STEP 7: Once you set up a personalized workflow, you can click Save. Then select the Set live option to review your template.
Once everything is in place, click Publish. Your popup will be live on the website link you have registered on the BayEngage app.
