Overview:

When a customer's subscription to your product expires, it can be a huge blow to the relationship. As a business owner, you need to understand how to retain your customers whose subscription has expired. This will help you bring them back on board and retain them for future purchases.

Here are some ways to deal with this situation:

1) Send them an email encouraging them to re-subscribe

2) Send them SMS regarding product expiry and ask for renewal

3) Send them an email about a new product that's coming soon

4) Send them SMS with coupon codes and quick renewal link

5) Send them an email with product upsell and cross-sell

With the BayEngage and Recharge integration, you can identify the customer's product subscription expiry much sooner, owing to real-time data sync. Furthermore, you can classify your customers depending on their product subscription, expiration date, and many other factors and easily remind them to re-subscribe by using powerful segmentation.

How to create a segment for “Subscription Expired” on BayEngage?

When a product subscription expires, you can start sending email and SMS campaigns to your subscribers based on the exact products subscribed to, previous subscription history, frequency of subscription, and more.

1. Login to BayEngage and select the "List & Segments" option from the left-hand side menu.

2. Click on “Create Segment”. Give your segment an appropriate name.

3. Click on “Browse ideas” and choose “Recharge expired subscription”. If you already have an idea, start segmenting right away.

4. You can now go ahead and create and customize your segments based on multiple criteria. You can create a segment based on subscription status, no. of times the subscription has been made in the past, and the time duration of it.

You can also create a filter based on the exact product a customer has subscribed to in the past.

Note: You can also further create granular segments by using the “OR” and “AND” operators.
