Overview:
With our SMS campaign, you can send precise, personalized messages to your opted-in SMS subscribers. This ensures that you’re able to communicate with them on their preferred channel and in a way that keeps them engaged. In this article, learn how to create and send and SMS campaign in BayEngage.
Steps in scheduling an SMS campaign in BayEngage:
Login to your BayEngage account, and click on "Campaigns" from the left-hand side menu. Now click "SMS Campaigns."
To create a new SMS campaign, click on “Create SMS Campaign” on the top right-hand side corner.
3. A popup window will appear, please provide a campaign name and click on “Create”.
4. Below the “Send to” option, click on the drop-down to select the list and segments that you would wish to include to the campaign.
Notes:
You can select multiple lists and segments to an SMS campaign.
Use the “Exclude recipients” option to select the list and segments that you would like to exclude from the campaign.
If no contacts are displayed on the selected lists and segments indicate that you don’t have any qualified SMS contacts to send the campaign.
Exclude Recipients
If you do not want some contacts from the list you have uploaded to not receive this campaign, you can go ahead and exclude them by clicking on “+ Exclude recipients”. You need to have a separate list of these recipients so that you can add that to the excluded list.
📒Note:
According to the SMS contact list you have selected to send/exclude, the estimated total recipient count will vary if you schedule the campaign for a later date.
For example:
Let’s say, the estimated recipient count is 123 when you scheduled the campaign for next week. However, the count will vary if more subscribers opt-in/out-out from the selected list(s).
5. On the “Delivery Control” option, set the appropriate delivery control threshold.
🤯Pro-Tip:
How BayEngage's delivery control works?
Using BayEngage's delivery control, you can easily keep your subscribers engaged without over-sending. For example, if you set a delivery control of “3 Days,” the BayEngage system will automatically skip sending the SMS campaign to the recipients who received any SMS in the past 3 days.
Delivery control for SMS is calculated based on calendar days. For example, if you have selected 3 days on delivery control settings, it will calculate 3 calendar days prior to the current day.
6. Use the “Compose SMS” window to frame your SMS message.
7. Once you have created your campaign, please click on the option “Review and send” on the top-right hand side to send the campaign.
8. Also, you can click on the option “Save and exit” to use it later.
9. Review all the campaign details on the review popup and click on “Schedule.”
10. In the schedule popup, please choose between “Send Now” or “Send Later.”
Send Now option will start sending your campaign immediately (within 5 - 10 minutes)
Send Later option will allow you to schedule the campaign for a specific time
11. By clicking on “Send Later,” you can choose a specific date, time, and timezone for the campaign and click on “schedule” to schedule your campaign. Your campaign will start sending on the selected date and time.
📒Note: The recipients will start receiving the campaign in the scheduled time zone regardless of the recipient's time zone.
