User Split: An Overview:

User split in email automation can be used to segment your audience & send targeted Emails and SMS based on specific criteria, characteristics, and engagement metrics. This can be useful for determining the user journey in an automation to specific groups of users.

In simple words, when a condition is satisfied the flow continues. If the condition fails, the flow stops right there and the user exits or takes a different path. Let’s understand this better with the help of an example.

In the above example, the user split condition is to send targeted emails if the recipient - “opens the email at least once”. When the customer has opened the first email, the condition is satisfied and they will be a part of the email flow and receive the next set of emails.

If the customer has not shown interest and has not opened the email, the condition has failed and those particular customers will not be taken to the next step. That is, the flow ends right there.

User split helps in segmenting people that are part of the automation flow. You can can split users based on:

  • User fields

  • Email activity

  • Demographics

  • Customer subscription

  • Recharge Subscription

  • Customer membership and more.

Overall, user split in email automation can be a powerful tool for increasing the effectiveness of your email campaigns and improving the user experience for your customers or clients. You can connect better with your audience and drive more conversions or engagement.
