Pop-ups help you collect valuable user information like email addresses and phone numbers. But, with a single screen pop-up, you may end up overwhelming your visitors. With multi-step pop-ups, you can collect email addresses on the first page and the phone numbers on the second page so that the user does not have to enter both information in one go. You can ensure that you don’t annoy your visitors with too many questions.

Pop-ups are attractive, engaging, and the easiest way to get the attention of your website visitors. But, there’s only so much you can do with traditional (single screen) pop-ups. Adding more steps to your pop-ups enables you to create curiosity, lead your visitors on to unlocking more possibilities, and thereby drive more conversions. Typically, a multi-step pop-up consists of:

  • An engaging message intriguing the user to lead on to the next screen

  • Collecting email addresses or phone numbers

  • Give away exciting news, coupons codes, and more

  • Displaying a thank you message

How to set up multi-step pop-ups on BayEngage

  1. Login to your BayEngage account. Sign up to BayEngage if you don’t already have one.

  2. Click on “Sign up forms” (on the left side) of the dashboard and click on “create new”.

  3. You can now see a bunch of categories. Choose “Multi step signup”.

4. Choose the template and give your pop-up an appropriate name. Also, choose the list to which you want the pop-up subscribers to be added to. Once you’re done, click on “Create”.

5. Now, you can edit your pop-up the way you want - customize everything from the content, style, images, and more.

6. You can customize every screen. You can also add more screens by clicking on the “Add screen” button”.

💡 Pro Tip: If you want to replicate any step, you can simply click on the three dots near the name of that screen and clone it. You can also edit and delete these screens.
