You can segment your audience based on the links that they have clicked on your email campaigns. When you set up click segmentation, every time a recipient clicks a specific link they will be automatically added to a segment that you have created. This will help you understand your customer’s in a better way and to send targeted/personalized emails.

Email Click Segment - by Specific URL

You can use this option to segment recipients by the specific link(s) that they have clicked on your email campaigns.

Use Case:

Consider a Sports Shoe Retailer sending a promotional email campaign for the weekend sale directing their customers to two different shoe categories:

Shoe categories:

-> Football boot

-> Basketball shoe

  • Once the campaign is complete, the Sport Shoe Retailer can create a click-by segment to understand the breakup of customers who clicked on the two different shoe categories.

  • This will be helpful to send personalized followup to their customers who clicked on two different shoe categories.

To Create a click-by segment:

  1. Login to your BayEngage account. You will land on the BayEngage’s dashboard

2. Click on the option List & segments from the left hand side menu.

3. Click on the option “Create Segment” on the top right hand side.

4. Select “email clicked” in the condition drop-down and then select “unique clicked” in the user email clicked option.

5. Select “URL clicked” in the Filter by option and paste the URL in “URL Contains” or “Exact Matching” options.

6. Then select “At least once” in “last 6 months” options.

7. This condition is also available in User Filter and User Split.
